They look good Lewis, I’ve always liked these on MINIs. I just wish I’d bought a set pair of these when they were on offer last year.

Test fitted the TDs today. Ignore the monster truck look as the suspension didn't settle.

It'll need lowered for a really clean look but for now I think they look alright! Looks to be a good fitment too

MINI should have done a Roadster Challenge Edition. 🥰

They probably will do, they're definitely lighter than the stock wheels

I'm undecided about the stripes. I like them but I've seen a Coupé in Kite Blue that hasn't got the stripes which also looks good. 🤔

The blue is a very bold colour.. I parked it next to my friend's yellow Abarth 595 the other day and they stood out like sore thumbs!

@LCWElvin I'd think twice if I were you on removing the stripes. Before I viewed mine I looked at a black one in Brum. It had white stripes which weren't to my taste. I told the dealer this long before arranging a viewing and they said they would remove them without obligation to buy. When I viewed the car you could see a mile away where they'd been. Of course all paint fades but it was brand new where the stripes had been and being under the clear coat it couldn't be buffed out. Probably worse on black but worth thinking about. I guess if you removed them and had this issue you could just fit some more but if you are undecided maybe it's worth leaving them be.

I know what you mean, that is a concern. I'm going to get it properly detailed and coated at some point this year, so I'd get them removed then and hope that a proper machine polish could sort out any colour difference.

Like I say the Brum dealer had machine polished (or 'mopped' as they call it) the car twice but the fading wouldn't budge. If your car has no clear coat you'll be golden but if it has, beware. Also as a Brucie Bonus the stripes removal exposed a very light knife mark in the bonnet, parallel with one of the stripe edges. I believe the stripes were there from new but I guess this was just bad luck. Real shame for that car as it was otherwise lovely with 9,000 miles on the clock.

Yeah that's true, but black is an awful colour to work with and I've never been too keen on the 'detailing' skills available at a dealership.

I believe my car has been garaged since new so the fade on the paint shouldn't be too severe. I'll definitely get a professional opinion before I made a choice though.

That’s a real shame! But you've got a great one now ☺️

Fitted Black Line rear lights and side repeaters. The difference is quite subtle but it does make a difference.

I didn't think the side repeaters looked that different, but on reflection the new ones are much darker.

Does anyone know if they do a Black Line reverse light unit, I feel like that would be the final piece of the puzzle?

Thanks to @Mr Watton for his help with the side scuttle decals 👍

I think the black line kit just covers the standard bumper (ie standard reverse and fog light) let me know if you find a jcw reverse, I think it would just be a reverse as I believe the fog and the surround to the reverse is also a reflector

@Kettlepot I didn't think it made much difference at first, but now I'm noticing a lot more how moody the car looks. I love it!

Front grille trims are finally sorted. Hooray! Only took two lots of them to get the right ones to fit 🤦🏻‍♂️

They've finished off the front end now and give a much smarter look than the chrome that preceded them.

I used a tint spray on my rear lights and indicators!

While on subject, I also know of those who run US spec trim for the reflectors as in Jamie Halliday!?

Got my car back from the wizards at DDB Detailing yesterday. They've turned it from a swirly hologram covered mess into a car that looks better than new.

Completely over the moon, top work by the guys there!

These will be the last mods for a while! The bank will think I'm being fraudulent if I spend any more 😆

The photos really don't do it justice. The colour pops so much better and the metallic flake in it pops too
