De-cat stuff

So I’m at a dilemma over a sports cat or de-cat.

Do I fork out big money on a decent sports cat or...

Get a de-cat and then, so I’m told, have to remap to remove the light I’ll get on my dash?!

Obvs I’ll swap it out come MOT time;)

Guide me, correct me!

If you are gonna put the cat back on for MOT will that not mess around with the map ?

I’d heard a rumour that if you put a spacer/washer on the post sensor it takes the sensor out of the bulk of the fumes saving the light from coming on. How the this is I don’t know.

 

are you planning do decat/sports car for sound or performance ? Or both ?

i don’t want to fully remap the car at ur moment. The remap in question would have to be solely to get rid of an error light.

im going to talk to BTG when I get the chance

If you are paying to take the light off, you might as well add performance. Pointless paying twice unless you have loads of cash. I would save the decat for the last mod before remap (personally).
