Nice update I finally got myself a genuine STI spoiler in world rally blue! So today I fitted it,not a straight forward job as the wrx spoiler is held on with 4 bolts and the STI held in with 10.

So abit of template making, drilling bonding is required. Took a few photos while I whent through the stages.

First stage remove wrx spoiler 4 10mm bolts and unclip the brake light wire, then it pops off.

STI vs WRX Spoiler

I made my template by pressing down on the spoiler studs with some cardboard then cut it down to shape.

Once iddone that I bolted it to the boot using the 4 bolt holes that line up where the wrx spoiler attached.

I then started the drilling process! Starting at 4mm working upto 10mm sized holes.

Once all the holes were drilled and I checked the spoiler sat nicely I ran double sided sticky tape around the outside of the spoiler just to help it seal, leaving gaps where there is room for rain water to drain, once I'd done this I then applied rust prevention to the drill holes to stop them from rusting, and also used sealant around them to seal water from getting into the boot.

Once this was done I bolted the spoiler on and used loctite thread lock to prevent the bits coming undone and hey presto looks how a subaru should now!

Please tell me you've had it mapped for the decat?

Other than that, looking good!

I absolutely LOVE Impreza's, I've had 2 - 1 wrx and 1 Sti Prodrive. I need another in my life but just can't justify the running costs! My Sti was £60 every 5 days as a daily runner.

People don't understand the Scooby way until they've owned one!
