Yep, it's all coming out. I've done a couple of weeks with the back seats down so I'm sure I can put up with the extra noise (which isn't that bad)

Are you getting harnesses too ? (I'm quite jealous of these seats and wish I had a cooper S to play with and make those seats worthwhile)

How is the cage coming along ? Is it fully assembled or to be build in situ ?

The cage won't be delivered for another two weeks and goes in in one piece. Fitting it blocks the seatbelt mounting point so I need to run harnesses if I like it or not, so I though I may as well have buckets as well. Despite how they look they weren't expensive

I just need to find a proficient welder now who works for free to fix the cage foot plates to the floor for me :)

I haven't got a clue where to get one from or what I'd need :( clueless aren't I

Just googled the hire aspect and your looking at approx £80 for the first day then £20/day after that. But I think that would require 16amps supply (cooker socket equivalent. Dedicated power from fuse board) other than that it's approx £300 to buy and if your only needing it the once, it's a lotta money to spend. May be worth getting a quote from a welder from the yellow pages to see how it compares to the hire cost

I had a sneaky look aswell as I've got an HSS about two hundred yards away. You could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw their prices. I'll stick an ad on the board at work and see if anyone can help there. The guy who sorted my cat welding did an ace job

Managed to sort out a welding dude for Thursday, so today I did the final adjustments to the front cage footings

Tomorrow I'll cut the holes for the rear weld in plates and swap the runners from my original drivers seat to my new one. Busy, busy, busy!
