Replaced the bulbs with canbus friendly led's while I was at it so the light output is pretty much unaffected a35fdda496d728611d433c3b39907804.jpg09 ... 907804.jpg"><a href=http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/09/22/a35fdda496d728611d433c3b39907804.jpg' alt='URL>'>

Stripped the vinyl off my scoop as it was starting to look tatty. Plasti dipped it and the finish is spot on, we'll see how it lasts

Also killed the rust that was forming on my new back discs. These are now looking smart again

First update in a while. Finally managed to free up my lower engine mount bolt today using a combination of intense heat and colourful language. My poly inserts for this and the gearbox mount are now done :)df9cdeed033dd68cb6ff404ff90cc201.jpg11 ... 0cc201.jpg"><a href=http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/16/df9cdeed033dd68cb6ff404ff90cc201.jpg' alt='URL>'>8cae1711595cc813b30ae639a00b7de4.jpg11 ... 0b7de4.jpg"><a href=http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/16/8cae1711595cc813b30ae639a00b7de4.jpg' alt='URL>'>

A replacement oil filled mounting is on its way and as soon as it's here I'll be taking out the superflex insert I've got on at the mo. Next thing on the horizon is longer front brake lines (which should've been here a week ago) :(

I did, but when the suspension compresses the lines get pulled uncomfortably tight. I should've factored this in when I ordered the originals but..... err....didn't, and had copies of the ones that came with the kit made. You live and learn I suppose

At least you spotted it and fixing it. I always learn the hard way too. But at least I find out the wrong way too [emoji6]

I seem to remember you waiting a while for the last set ?

At least you'll settle with the longer lines on.

Replaced my oil filled engine mount the other day. It went from this

Mini R53 failed engine mount:

Painted the engine mount while it was out. The brake line saga continues...... Received a set (finally) and they were made up entirely wrong, got a set of requirements today....wrong again, third set should be here tomorrow... Fingers crossed

Well.....Three weeks after I placed my original order I now have three sets of brake flexi's which are almost but not quite right. 235506307282e07f661526ec38fb0dbd.jpg11 ... fb0dbd.jpg"><a href=http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/29/235506307282e07f661526ec38fb0dbd.jpg' alt='URL>'>

I was hoping to have received lines 4.0 today but true to form they're not here. Mildly annoyed? You coukd say that :(

It's doing my nut in Si if I'm honest. The first couple of sets would've done but they're not what I ordered so I don't feel obliged to accept them. The only positive incident now have three sets of brand new lines which will be good to someone and are going to be lobbed on ebay

Did my own tracking/alignment today as it's never so much as been checked during my ownership (despite having almost every major suspension component changed). It's always gone in a straight line but was a bit.... err....twitchy. I now know why. Lowering the car seems to have added a shed load of toe-in (about 2 degrees... Eek!). This has now been wound back to 1/3rd of a degree which should calm the handling a treat. All this sounds pretty simple but in reality was a nightmare with every thread being seized, stripped or corroded :(

Slight update of sorts. My long suffering other half Tracey has bought me a Safety Devices roll cage for crimbo :) no pics yet as it's a special order and could take up to six weeks to arrive. Suffice to say my Mini build is starting to get serious :)
