Seats are great Greeig! I thought once the airbag light was on it had to be reset, even if you then get the right resistor?

I really fancy some harnesses now too. But with the rear seat delete in, does anyone know what would be the best way/place to secure the eyelets?!

I love harnesses, had some in my gen 1 MINI many years back, had them mounted right up on the C pillars, perfectly acceptable despite the amount of hate I had at the time from jealous peeps haha

I'm still looking into the roll cage, but with nearly three weeks off work now, that's gonna have to be on hold now. If you was going down the cage option, you could always have a cross bar put in to mount too? I was thinking you could use the rear seat lower outer seat belt mounts, but I'm sure your not allowed that much of an angle from that upto the seat. Hmmmmm....

I'll see if I can find a pic of the gen1 set up I had...

From what I know, position is also dependant on the type of seat, so I'd check on what your seat allows ;)

There is a harness bar available that links the C pillars together. It's not cheap but at least it avoids the butchery involved in getting most cages to fit

Cheers guys.

Colin, where can you get the C pillar harness bar from?

Paul - I got them direct from Corbeau.

There are a few out there

But like I said, not cheap

Thanks Colin.

I like the look of this one http://new.minimania.com/part/G2NMC1100/BREY-KRAUSE-PERFORMANCE-HARNESS-BAR-MOUNT---MINI-COOPER--S

But like you said, you bloody pay for them!

I'm guessing there's no way of fixing eyelets closer to the seats themselves, like in the rear footwells?

For the money you may as well get a cage. Saying that, you can't get into the back seats with fixed buckets anyway so you might as well (that was my justification)

Yeah that makes sense, although I cba ripping the interior out and cutting the panels to fit a cage in, although it would be awesome...! Hmm...

[emoji1] all in due course. I'm speaking to one of the lads at work to see how difficult it would be to design a cross brace and test it using the kit at work [emoji16]

And went to fit my m7 splitter but was far too low, it wouldn't even have lasted down my road! So this happened... [sMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]
