Thought it was time to make a Build thread [emoji41]
The car is a WC50 number 229/500. I picked this up from The Car Empire in Bradford on the 31st of July 2016.
So first mods had to be coilovers and a decat. As recommended from Andy, I went for Meister's.
(Excuse the dirt)
Car sits a lot better now.
So then began the search for more power! AEM induction kit.
Also an intercooler so it's ready for a map.
I wanted some bucket seats as I found the original lounge seats to be very slidey on corners when pushing the car.
Corbeau Clubsports seats is what I went for. I can't fault them for the price.
So removed all the standard seats.
Once the seats are in it started looking a whole lot better.
As the seats were being fitted more car parts arrived!
Team Dynamic 1.2.
Rear wiper delete.
So it was time to book in at Lohen for a stage 2 remap and a decoke.
The decoke went well and was well needed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170319/6a964e8c85c1c64936a34bff5ae98426.jpg' alt='URL>'>
The remap however did not go well at all. After they put the stage 2 map on the car it was dyno'd.
So run 1 is WITH the stage 2 map on. Producing less power than the standard car should. Run 2 was without the map on, producing the same power as a 1 litre Fiesta. Lohen did not know what the issue was and were not prepared to find out for me so sent me on my way home to find out on my own.
With help from Andy and his trusty scan gauge, it was clear the car was not holding boost. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170319/efa52e2738333cb6f37255d1550687a7.jpg' alt='URL>'>
We swapped my diverter valve for his to see if that was the problem, hoping it was as it was a relatively cheap fix!
Lucky for me this was the issue and it was boosting as the standard car should and no longer felt flat.
So now that was sorted I had to get my hands on an SPS Switch to put the map back onto my car. What a difference the map makes. Unfortunately I'm unsure on what power I'm running as it has not been dyno'd running the correct boost under the map.
The car now flames (did not get the flame map) and fees so much more responsive and torquey.
Now that power is at a nice level I wanted to make the car my own and look how I wanted it to look.
(Purists, look away now) [emoji85]
I wanted to stick to the Carbon theme of the car so went for a carbon g Wing and a carbon challenge diffuser.
As the back was starting to look a lot more aggressive I wanted to make the front a bit meaner too. So I took the stripes off. This split a few opinions but I personally prefer the look of it.
Anti Roll bar which is now on the car delivered!
