Such sad news... I unfortunately never really had a huge involvement as Covid struck not long after I was made a moderator but this club has had such a massive impact on me and my Mini, I would certainly say I might not even have my Mini if it wasn't for this club, let alone modifications etc. As I've seen other people mention, I haven't been involved in a group with such a family feel which is what really set us apart from the rest. I'm a shy and awkward bugger but I felt so welcomed. With regards to the forum, it is a totally understandable decision to make, however I5 points

Difficult decision Simon, but Im finding a lot of forums in the same place, especially as more and more people prefer the facebook platform. All of the forums I used to use or mod for car stuff are long since gone. Thanks for all the fun times I had with the group, and the hard work that made it possible. Although I sold my Mini last week its only temporary, I will have another one at some point (F56 JCW ;) ) and will give you a flash/wave if I see you :D5 points

Thank you for all the dedication and the opportunity to host my build thread, I will always be MINI owner.5 points

Sad sad day 😢 however totally understandable. Si I remember the day I spoke with you at a mini show in Sunderland way back in 2017 and you gave me the inspiration to transform my car. Ian and yourself have to be proud of what you have done bringing us like minded mini people together and making us all feel so welcome into the family! I am sure that none of us will lose the love for the brand as it is in all of our bloods and we all will be keeping our fingers crossed that one day we will see a day when the new normal will allow us to hopefully meet up and share our passion again!4 points

This is such a shame Simon but totally understandable. FOM is by far the best and most welcoming group of enthusiasts I have ever met. It was never about who has the fastest most expensive car but rather a group of likeminded people sharing ideas and having a laugh along the way. The early morning drives, the car shows and the absolutely freezing cold night trying to get that perfect shot are things you can never forget. Whilst Full On Minis will be no more the memories will always be there. I hope one day in the not so distant future we can still get together for4 points

We`ve made it! Stage 2 Complete Let me start off with a huge thank you to @Lohen They looked after us from start to finish and for this im very grateful. As always Frank was a pain in the ass. For those who dont know who frank is, Frank is my MINI. A full vehicle check was had which happens all the time before a map is applied to ensure the engine is up to the additional performance, this includes compression checks. Problem wise it started off with an issue with my Forge blow off valve. Because of the higher boost that the map would allow, the spring within the valve wasn't capa4 points

Not much to report on as of late. Well there is, but I haven't been anywhere to take any decent pictures!! I had my roll over hoops wrapped black, they look absolutely great! I didn't like the JCW side stripes so they came straight off 😅 The car is now also sitting on Eibach lowering springs. it looks so so so much better now and I have noticed a positive change in the handling characteristics as well as a positive scraping noise going down the ramps in a multi-story car park.. lesson learned. This is the best/only image I have to compare the before and3 points

Also had the old girl machine polished. I’m really pleased with the results. I now know how to wash a car properly, have proper kit and am nowhere near a clay bar 👊 so hopefully she should stay nice.3 points

Spent a little time on Sunday doing my latest mod, which I am very happy with indeed.3 points

In doing the centre arm rest I had to decide if I was going for the single seam down the centre or off to one side (kinda like viper stripes) or a seam down either side or have a seam down either edge ? I thought the centre seam would look more OEM but had more of a chance to irritate the elbow and an ofset seam just wouldn’t look right. A seam on either side would be the best result although much harder to stitch and keep everything looking right and also harder to stick on straight. I’ll let you know how that goes tomorrow 👍🏻3 points

Hi all, I've been into classic Mini's for over 20 years and a few years ago between classic's I bought an R56 and fell in love with her until I blew the engine! Last year a cheap Y reg came up for sale near me and it was time to re-kindle the love for these cars. So we now own Thelma (classic) and Louise!3 points

Thanks Mr Watton and Kettlepot! I'm from the Netherlands;) I recently bought my 2nd MINI F56, had a Cooper S before and now having a Cooper with JCW pack which I'm now trying to make into my favourite MINI build. I saw some great inspirational builds on this forum so thought why not join!:)3 points

Washed both cars today, its been a long time coming as they were both disgusting! Got the TDs back on the Roadster and they're on for good this time 😊 Also fitted an Ultragauge Mount, looks quite tidy and the position is spot on. Just screws into the back of the rev counter using the existing holes. Tomorrow is the day for the Sports Cat and Intercooler.. Also bought some coilovers today... Watch this space!3 points

I’m getting used to removing the bumper now so although it was quite a bit of work, it wasn’t too difficult. Thankfully. I’m just glad that it wasn’t expensive to fix (time is free at the moment) I would have loved to have seen the look on the pheasants face just before impact but that will have to be left to the imagination I’m afraid. @Mr Wattonwas the last to see the pheasant so goodness knows where it is now 🤷🏻♂️ All the best for the ‘21 @Kai2k2 points

Happy days and blank canvas. I deffo think a subtle dechrome is in order, just a couple of bits, especially in body colour. wow with the JCW boxed kit, there can’t be many of those kicking around now that that it’s been a few year since they changed from the R552 points

Finally Joined the FOM forum. Been a Facebook page member for a few years now. Currently own a 2019 F56 JCW in British racing green IV with red roof and mirrors. Some plans to mod it soon, decided to keep this one. Most of you will know me already but hi to those that don’t. Martin2 points

@Mr Watton thanks for this. I’ve actually decided, after much research to go for RBF 660. Being DOT 4 it meets the recommendation of MINI but it’s wet and dry boiling points actually exceed DOT 5.1. For what I need it seems the perfect product and comes highly regarded. The only thing not so good is the price ! I’ll report back once the brakes are done to let you know the verdict. Thanks for the advice everyone.2 points

I'm always full of good ideas, we tend to do that when away biking, keeps the cost down massively providing there's commitment. I'm a little excited I could wee my knickers.2 points

Thanks for that. Very good idea. Get the practice in first! Also that’ll be a summer job so it can stick. In the winter I’ll work on the clip on items like the headlight surrounds. Looking at some of @Mr Watton s pics I like the look of de chromed bar the fuel filler , door handles and scuttle so I’ll probably aim for that. Brakes first though !2 points
